price increase email purposely not sent???

excluding myself, I know of 7 people who currently use TS for internet service (5 on regular 5MB DSL, 2 unhappy cable users) and none of us have received notification on the price increase in Feb. Speaking for myself, every month without fail I receive both an invoice and a receipt email from TS, I also recently received the survey email and the network maintenance emails as well so I know damn sure that emails sent out get received.

I'd think priority one for any reputable company would be to make absolutely sure that a price increase notice gets sent out to all it's customers. Let me repeat, TOP PRIORITY. There is absolutely no excuse why TS has failed to do this, they're on these boards so they already know of the problem, or any way they can spin this to make it acceptable. All I can think of is this is a company decision to not inform their customers ahead of time, and that having customers call in after the price increase is in effect is their preferred option.

If it wasn't for a friend who told me about this, I'd probably not even know about this until I paid off my Feb visa bill in march.

Even though I'm not a cable user and had to deal with all the problems GTA users have dealt with (2 frustrated friends on TS cable) I still get the impression TS has really lost touch with its loyal customers. Blaming Rogers, Bell, whoever else only goes so far. Seriously did the management team all retire at once or what, who's piloting the ship.

In closing I have been a TS customer for 7 yrs and up until early last year I'd easily recommend TS to anyone who asked, today I'd probably tell them to look elsewhere since I don't want any blame should I recommend TS and then not deliver. As it stands 2 people I know are leaving/left TS already and the rest of us are waiting to get feedback from them to see if the rest should jump ship.

You can add me to the list...

I never received it and when i inquired by email about that particular email and i wished to get a copy it took them more than 3 days to answer me. The answer consisted of 1 line (with about 5 or 6 words) telling me the email had being send.

No copy of the supposed email, no explanation or more information...

Starting to annoy me...

I didn't receive the rate change mail but I did receive the maintenance one... I also received my invoice/receipt mails.

Much to my surprise, there is no mention of the rate changes on the invoice/receipt... which IMO would be practically mandatory since people are legally expected to check their invoices/receipts when they pay for something, which makes it nearly impossible to feign ignorance.

I think the use a 3rd party site that provides a tracking code in the links you click inside of the email, so they can see how many people have read them, and maybe even if the individual recipient (customer) has read them.

I received them both on the same email address.

Same here, get all the other email like the one for CC why deny (twice in less than 24 hours) but no price change email.. Nothing on my bill, nothing on the web site (My World), nothing on the email that is used to send the pdf with your bill...

Lucky i read this forum because i would not even have know about it...

Maybe because of the 3rd party sites...

For what its worth it came into my gmail just fine, not into the spambox.

If they that, they are %"/%"//$?...

If you want to make sure your customer can get it (and maybe read it), you send only a simple email from your server at the @teksavvy email address. If the customer has another email address on record they can also used it but you do not send email that contain junk code in it that might trip a junk mail filter (including their own)...

my alerts arrived Jan 4th and 9th

passed from third party to Teksavvy mail into mac mail v3.6

maybe you need to check your settings

by the way bell seems to use the most stealth tactics when it comes to price hikes, you know they do it to you while you sleep

I agree 100% about that... It should be on the invoices.

In fact long time users were requesting that usage should be included on the invoices as well, but they said something about it being hard to implement in their accounting system...

Surely a price change notice can't be that hard to put in there though.

Agreed, a simple blob of static text added to the template, doesn't get much simpler than that... preferably in both the invoice/receipt eMail form AND the pdf form.

I have not gotten an email either despite I have been getting all invoice and maintenance emails. Interesting thing is I have gotten a call from Teksavvy few weeks ago asking me which service do I have with Teksavvy as she seem to be confused that I have both cable and dsl in Quebec.

2 of my friends that I referred were shocked about the DSL price increase also and they have not received a mail from Teksavvy.

And we are all from Quebec, my other friend from Ontario has gotten the mail.

Same here. Both on my gmail address. Interestingly enough, nothing on my teksavvy.com address.

I do whole heartedly agree, something should have been put on the invoice & receipt sent out in January & February.

I really think TSI has to get their act together. Much floundering.

Ya, it's also the same for me. Got the invoices and receipts, network maintenance, but nothing about price changes.
