 | said by MEeastern_ca:Any Canadians using the Internet service provider Inter.net.canada? I don't know why you have to keep on creating the same topic over and over again.
But the reply hasn't changed from this reply from your other topic: » Fake ISP Uniserve to ca.Inter.net
As previously stated, If you use search you will find that there are people who use this ISP (or whatever name they go by now).
Why not just stick with one topic instead of the 3 you created? |

Re: Inter.net.Canada I have a couple older friends and clients who used to use inter.net back in Dialup days as they provided both access numbers in my region and in florida for when they go there during the winter.
They are a legit ISP. |

 | reply to MEeastern_ca Inter.net.canada claims to have nothing to do with Uniserve but when on there network the Public address identified by whatsmyipaddress.com states 216.99.54.xx with a name of Uniserve Online |

You know, I'm pretty sure I've already written this before....... |

| reply to MEeastern_ca This change for Inter.net.canada only occurred on Nov-30-2011. Inter.net.canada is saying they are taking over Eastern canada DSL service for Uniserve. Yet if I call 1-877-864-7378 the Phone system identifies itself as Uniserve. This is strange for a company taking over Uniserves Eastern Canada's portion (Ontario).I called again after arranging a schedule with the manager and still no response. |

 | reply to MEeastern_ca grunze510, I think you stated this before also. he had like 3 topics going at one point.
As stated in another one of your topics you have going, uniserve bought Inter.net, or merged with Inter.net, or opened up a new name under Inter.net (whatever the case may be).
A simple search will shows this. This was also explained to you in another one of your topics.
Both companies are legit from what I can make out, and it looks like they do indeed share some blocks of IP's, which again can be seen via a search.
If inter.net told you otherwise then you got lied to. Or, whoever you spoke to doesn't have a clue what they are saying. Simple as that.
If you use search in this forum, you will see a post made where someone stated they pulled all Canadian support out of Canada and phone support is now done via the Philippines (which I can't confirm).
If this is the case, then chances are the person was just clueless and you know more than them.
For all information and history on both companies read these links: »/nsearch?q=···=1&281=1

Yeah that's because 1-877-864-7378 is Uniserve's support number. Which you can see on Uniserve's website »www.uniserve.com/contact/
On ca.inter.net's website the number is clearly 855.440.1444 »www.ca.inter.net/contact.php
You do realize that Uniserve has customers in Western Canada right? I'm not sure why them selling the Eastern block of Customers would make you think that they would give up their phone number.
I called again after arranging a schedule with the manager and still no response. I'm not sure why any of this would require a manager, especially meeting with one. Companies (every company) have call centres so the managers can get work done while other people work with the customers. If everyone talked to the VP of technology because they don't understand email... sure they'd get awesome support, but he or she wouldn't get any work done.
Explain your concerns to the tech support, calmly and patiently, listen to their response. If the response isn't satisfactory ask for their supervisor. If the response isn't satisfactory ask for whoever they report too.
If your concern is the wrong name is on the IPs and the DNS servers aren't what you believe they should be, well I think you are getting worked up over nothing. After selling half a company it is logical that they might not get all the registrations updated right away.
You should ask yourself "Does my Internet work?" if it does then you can stop worrying. Eastern Canada uses PPPOE so they'll be providing you what you need for your connection to work.

 | Hey guys, I use inter.net for DSL. I have two account with this company. One at my parents and one at my place. I almost had this company for over 8 years. 29.99$ per months.
I initially started with Inter.net, then uniserve took over. And very recently.. i think december of last year, all quebec account are moved back to Inter.net. But when you called them for technical support, they are the same people from Uniserve. |
|
 | What province are you located? We stared with Uniserve and in Nov-30-2011 it changed over to Inter.net.canada and we are located in Ontario. |

| reply to balur This company Inter.net.ca says there DNS IP address is 208.72.120.204 and 208.79.56.204 which resolve to 295.ca. Inter.net.ca is also claiming you cannot get there DNS IP address automatically you must enter there DNS statically on the DSL MODEM (The DSL MODEM gets Uniserves DNS IP addresses automatically)
Can anyone using this service tell me what DNS IP address they receive ? |
