ST516 DSL Modem -> block incoming IP?

Is there a configuration screen anywhere on a THOMSON ST516 dsl modem where I can tell it to block/drop all incoming connections from one (or more) external IP address's?

I'm not familiar with that modem, but I'd doubt it. Dropping packets from X.X.X.X address sounds more like something you'd accomplish with a firewall.

A typical home modem/router has no filtering capability.

If u want front-end filtering capability, don't even want them to pass the front door or even "probe" you if there is a door/type of door, you need a router with Firewall capability.

U can buy an Internet Appliance (hardware firewall) for a few $hundreds, or u can build a software firewall with an old PC with two NICs and public domain software and hope u have a few weekends open.
