Re: Milwaukee Drills and Stuff Milwaukee used to be good (have a classic reciprocating saw from them), but like Porter Cable have fallen down in recent years. I find it harder to get tools now than I used to, especially tools people don't use much anymore like good jig saws, table saws, and planers. |

 | reply to AMD Phreak No problems today. The drill functioned flawlessly. |

But they were also made in America ones (prior to TTI buying them out). But still, the Milwaukee stuff gets my nod as to best. I have an 18V hammer drill, circular saw and Sawzall. Both have seen a lot of hard use over the years. Never a problem. |

 | reply to AMD Phreak I have been using an 18v cordless Dewalt hammer drill on a daily basis for years and have been very happy. I have dropped it many times from an extension ladder and it still keeps on going. I routinely use a 7/8" auger bit to drill holes and it does the job like a champ, my drill has three gears and I do have to put it in low gear for the 7/8" auger bit. I recently upgraded my existing drill to lithium batteries without a problem, the lithium charger will even charge my old ni-cad batteries. For serious drilling in concrete I always use my corded Hilti whenever possible but I have been very happy with my Dewalt and would buy another one. |
