Re: Sh*t Chicagoans Say

When I was in HS in 96 I bought a 83 Ford from a buddy (the car sat for at least a year) for $50.
Registration, month of insurance, oil change, water pump, plugs, wires, etc I was up to like $650.
No muffler and she's running very rich.
Took it to school and ditched the last period. Could not start her up and pushed it to the street while my PE teacher was looking at me.

Some time later I washed the motor and ever since I could not get her started. Year after that I called Victory...
very sad was I...

I sold 2 old cars to Victory auto wreckers, back in the eighties, and I bought a front clip for my '84 Dodge from them to repair damage after hitting a deer.

I still have the T-Shirt they gave me when I bought the clip.

Does anyone remember the jingle from Dispensa's castle of toys?

(youtube clip)

WGN's Dean Richards did the voiceover for the Victory commercial and I worked at Dispensa's Kiddie Kingdom.

Hopefully the Ministry Of Truth and Thought Police can sort this whole thing out.

Any ride a quarter, six for a dollar!

I used to live within walking distance of the place ( just across Roosevelt Rd. and a little west, in Villa Park)
