Mendham, NJ | Fios Remote with customer router & option 8 I've using my own router in place of the actiontec using option 8 from the faq. CID and Remote DVR work great. Trying to get FIOS Remote to work.
Sniffed my ipad and saw it sending a broadcast on udp 4538. Placed that port in my forwarding rules even in the actiontec but could not get it to work.
Any ideas on how to get "remote" to work using my ipad and a 3 router configuration (option 8)?
If I put my ipad on the actiontec wireless network it works fine, but that's not the configuration I want to use. I've got a WAP hanging off my own router that I want to use.
Figuring it has to be some additional port forwarding. |
