Hello, is anyone awake in the content department?? Yes, sadly in my research of TV alternatives due to the PQ issue I am experiencing, I am finding both Cox and D* are beating or matching FiOS. |

 | reply to kes601 when you get DirecTV or Dish to match FiOS's pricing to include internet and phone services let me know please! |

Price is only good to me if the quality of the product is good enough to actually watch. |

 | reply to JeepMatt Seriously, Fios is finished expanding their channel lineups. Haven't you realized that yet? They are working hard though so we can watch their service on the Xbox and other game systems. But expansion elsewhere is done. It's just one mans opinion. |

 | reply to JeepMatt Remember when we all thought FiOS TV was the best thing since sliced bread and they had this amazing number of HD channels?
Oh, those were the days... Time Warner Cable has like 50 HD channels FiOS doesn't carry now.
Pretty embarrassing that it's 2012 and Verizon still hasn't picked up Cartoon Network HD. But at least we've all got "Recipe.TV HD"... and a dozen "West" feeds of the premium HD channels showing redundant content on a 3 hour delay! |

The PQ here in MA, at my house anyway is great. I get a whole bunch of HD channels, more than i watch thats for sure. The price for me anyway is affordable for what i get and i even like 1.9 even though my wife has pointed out i dont see a lot of its colors.
I for one remember what DirecTV charged for a package thats not as good as what i have now..same for Dish, i had them both at the same time in two different locations. Most of all i remember Dish's extrememly bad customer service. I remember Compraps horrible PQ and equally bad CS. I remember RCN's horribly high prices and bad PQ too and slow internet speeds. I'm not about to look the gift horse in the mouth, this coming from a person who was in Verizons billing hell for a year, charged ETF when i never quit the service and was lied to and had bad credit reported against me..none of which was my fault..all that and i still think FiOS is better than the others!! |

Hello, is anyone awake in the content department?? I wouldn't use GCI as an example as they squeeze 4 HD channels per QAM! Also their systems are at 625MHz or less depending on the area. Node sizes are large I think they use like 12 VOD QAMs per node. |
|
 | 4 HD channels per QAM?
Would rather not have them at all. |
|
 | reply to JeepMatt but they have a ton of new foreign language SD content, and local sports SD content, and a Pandora app.... |

Would rather not have them at all. If Verizon had 15 open spots, would they be adding channels? IMO no. They simply don't care. |

|
 | Yes. Yes it is.
In fact, I think it's far from enough. This forum and Verizon's forums should be flooded with topics asking why there aren't any new HD channel additions. |

Other then BBC America, what are we really missing? The cartoon channel? Please. Maybe G4, CBS Sports channel is frankly useless in any definition. Could there be more HD, yes but dam, if you look at the entire body of work in the FIOS triple play, no other provider comes close in my service area. I'm talking Cablevision, Directv with their outages from bad weather and Dish which is getting out of sports all together it seems. and the internet with FIOS is PERFECT!. The picture quality on all channels is PERFECT. At least in my house |
