Re: [BC] Shaw techs overloaded? Yeah just be prepare for no tech to show up and no Internet for at least a month, and no tech available for another two weeks. That's what happened to my mother. I got fed up with Telus and told them to shove it up a dark place. I then called Shaw and had a install tech out the next day with full working Internet with no issues. Trust me I have a few more reasons to dislike Telus and their unionized attitude of "it's not my job, it's your problem ,talk to someone else" attitudes. |

In most places, you're just as likely to receive service from a non-unionized employee (field tech or CSR) as you are a unionized employee. It's not the union's fault. -- - The content of this post is my opinion, and does not reflect the opinions of my employer. - |

 | Only Shaw Vancouver is unionized, as far as I know. |

 | reply to someshawguy I find sites like customerservicescoreboard and written reviews on places like Urban Spoon are not genuine samples of customer satisfaction.
Pissed off customers look for a place to rant. Happy, content, or apathetic customers do not. So the ratios are likely to be skewed?
I can't tell you how many great experiences I've had at restaurants that were completely torn apart by rants on Urban Spoon.
Just my opinion...
Edit: Yeah, when apple has a "dissapointing" rating for customer service, you know that this site is a bit skewed.

Apple is known to have some of the highest ratings for customer service in the consumer electronics and service industry. |

 | Why would you even be looking at the rating numbers? The content of the comments is far more important and all have one thing in common; lack of customer support; long wait times.
The issue has been brought in other forums as well. It is very clear to me and to others that Shaw has been cutting corners for some time.
The OP made the correct move to cancel if he is not satisfied with the service. Then came a certain blatant troll came aboard to spill FUD. |
