Secure Online Backup for OSX

I just downloaded new software from Cox that will allow me to auto backup from my Mac.

However, this software will not accept my logon ID and Password to my cox account. I know I am entering the correct info. I have re-booted.

Has anyone else gotten the new software to work on their Macs?

Is it the primary username/password you're using? If you want to register here and PM me the email address I can check that for you.

there is more than one username/password? That might be the issue. I'll PM you. Thanks for helping.

Has anyone used Cox's backup? Is it any different from the free versions out there?

I've used the secure online backup manager with no problems on the Windows PC platform but since converting to MACs and OS X Lion the backup manager doesn't appear to be compatible.

After researching a bit more, I noticed the fine print where the Cox secure online backup manager is only compatible with OS X Snow Leopard which explains the issue.

I'm a bit of a novice in the Mac/OS world so I'm curious is there a simple work around at least until Cox comes out with a newer version of the online backup manager.

Use the web based backup. »backup.cox.com/application/Secur···ult.aspx
It runs a java app to upload the files. The downside is you lose the scheduling ability.

As an aside, is there a more direct way to use this for customers who run Linux?

I suspect the answer is that we're stuck using the web interface.

I also just installed the Cox Online Backup App for Mac and it is denying my login even though I AM POSITIVE it is correct. I have verified the same login on the web and on the Windows app.

Cox, please address this!
