tbuserPremium join:2012-01-25 Largo, FL | Changed Primary Router to mine, now upload speed is slow I followed the instructions for changing out the Verizon Westall modem/router with my own router (Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH). I also added an ECB2200 for COAX connection required for the STBs. Everything works as expected except for the fact that my upload speed is now less than 1 Mbs. My download speed is 40Mbs or better. I noticed the IP address when connected to the Verizon router was 72.XXX.XXX.XXX and now my IP address is in the 173.65.XXX.XXX. Does this make a difference? If not, what could be holding down my upload speed? I am paying for 35/35 service.
Thanks for any help. |

Quick look says there's a Movie Engine setting. Find it and disable it. Just a quick look. |

QoS is for bandwidth-limited connections and multiple users, so the concept is to prioritize traffic. 35/35 doesn't need that so much as a 30/5 connection. If Buffalo has default setting enabled, that may be the problem. |

tbuserPremium join:2012-01-25 Largo, FL | Well, that worked out pretty good. My download speed is still in the 40Mbs range but my upload speed increased to over 18Mbs. Not the 35 I'm paying for but much better than 1 Mbs.
Thanks for the advice. Anything else you can recommend I tweak? |
