[OS X] internet troubleshooting on a mac

I familiar with troubleshooting on a PC (i.e. cmd promp ipconfig/all, tracert, ping) etc etc

Is there anything like this on a MAC?

Im asking b/c sometimes I have to troubleshoot a clients internet or networking problems and when they have a mac its a bit of a pain and I have to pull out my PC laptop to do that kind of troubleshooting

OSX is Unix.

netcat
netstat
arp
route
traceroute
far more than you'll have on Windows including ping, ifconfig, tracert, etc. All of those originated on Unix.
