[Extreme Plus] Has Rogers started throttling Usenet binary downl

I've got Extreme Plus, and I've been consistently getting 7000KB/s for many months for Usenet downloads. Past few weeks, I've been struggling to hit 2000KB/s.

Any idea if they've started throttling these transfers?

If they were throttling, you'd be going a lot slower than that.

I'm still able to max out my 32mbps line no problem, speedboost gets me up to about 5MB/sec.

I don't think you'll ever see Usenet throttled, especially if it's encrypted.

The only thing slowing me down on usenet is Rogers overloaded nodes in Mississauga.

No problem here either in Thornhill. Maxing out at 32Mbps on encrypted connection.

Shit. Something going on with their Aurora network then. Until now, we've had 100Mb service and I've been actually getting that much usable bandwidth. All my friends in Aurora have noticed the same thing in the past couple weeks.
