Warez_ZealotRural land of the rising sun join:2006-04-19 Hamilton, ON 1 edit | [Sci-Fi] Sanctuary I just started watching this show, and I must say I really like it. I was doing a bit of research, and I found out it's basically 100% Canadian content. (Season 1 & 2 basically were using Canadian cities and money..) They are also funded by Canadian backing.
I noticed that SciFi got their hands on it... So does that mean it could randomly get cancelled just like all other highly popular SciFi shows that got the axe for financial reasons? -- "You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. The Scifi channel acquired the rights and cleaned up the CGI considerably. The premiere had a cameo from David Hewlett (from Stargate Atlantis ) and Peter DeLuise (Stargate TV projects) both of which were edited out in the SciFi channel re-mastered re-release. |

Also I dont think Kandyse McClure (from BattleStar Galactica) was in the original premiere if I recall correctly. The show certainly had a different feel when they were starting off and it seemed to be full of promise IMO. I think they have lost some of that luster. |

OctaveanPremium,MVM join:2001-03-31 New York, NY kudos:1 | When a show starts to lose members of the original cast it can be an indication of problems going forward. The loss of the Ashley Magnus character was a disservice to the show. I did enjoy the Freelander character but not necessarily as a substitute. Now even the presumed replacement has been summarily removed from the show (with some questionable excuse) with no substitution in sight,

when that happened I was expecting them to pull something and reveil that she lifed somehow but nope. |

RenoPremium join:2008-10-26 Keller, TX | As of right now Sanctuary hasn't been renewed and there is not one hint of when they might make that decision yet.
I've seen where some people are speculating that SyFy is waiting to see if some of it's newer shows fail before deciding if Sanctuary gets a season 5.
If it comes back at all it won't be for many months.

IIRC Sanctuary is mostly CG where as those other ones they can just go fill some place. |
