1 edit | [XPHome] Stopping windows XP Installation setup after rboot i found this post in regards to my own case... except my laptop is a few 5years old ..i fully partitioned the previouse win xp home to upgrade to a win xp pro sp3..
so it was working away untill i reached a error winlogon.dll and lsass.dll is missing please insert disc labelled win xp pro sp3... then fail... since i dont have that cd i click ok a log appears with a whole lot of general errors then reboots....
ive tryd boot multiple os and it does the same thing goes straight to installation of the xp i was trying to install
quiestion: can i stop the installation fully then install another os such as ubuntu of fedora... i have quite a few os iso.
win xp pro sp2 & sp3
ubunto 10.0 & 11.4
xp home sp2.
fedora..
i also have these duel booting on a later desktop
it has oroginal xp home sp3
xp pro sp3
ubunto
and fedora... so i know all these work hence the errors
i have also tested the cd with xp pro sp3 on a virtualbox... worked perfect

Any suggestion would help if all fails im going to take it to the tech experts in town and they charge a arm a leg and a torso to fix
to get win xp media centre 2005 back on a laptop installed ubuntu on 180nz$.. just to install it... C  RIKEY
