Hearing some conflicting info though, as a prospective customer was told it's only available to existing customers right now, and an existing customer was told the exact opposite...
Again, install went quite a bit smoother than the "legacy" setup, and speeds look a little more promising.

1 edit | There is no reflector on the boom and the feed horn cover is a dark color. I hope the feed horn cover does not melt when Sun pass directly in front of the dish.
Since the installation is in Wyoming, is the service 5 Mb/s download and 1 Mb/s upload? It would help to explain the disappointing speed test.

Correct, they had signed up for the 5MB dl. Sadly, these are the best speeds I have seen on a Wild Blue in this area since I started doing them here.
IME, on the legacy setup, customers are lucky to get 1MB down on a perfect install on a clear day...

Yeah Storm, I would make sure they are not using any custom DNS servers. Looks like ViaSat would have tested this before launching the service. |

Well, these tests are run on the company laptop, which won't allow me to change ANYTHING as far as network settings are concerned...
