Our company is looking into alternatives for email attachments - a secure site that would allow us to upload a file to the Internet and then provide a link to another person for them to retrieve the file.
So far the premium services of the Transfer Big Files and YouSendIt sites look interesting to us, but we want to get some recommendations to see if these sites are any good or if there is something better out there.
What we need is something cost effective, secure, allow for passwording of files, and preferrably keep a record as to who has retrieved the file.
Thanks! |

| said by ctyoe:..., allow for passwording of files, Are you referring file location being password protected or the files themselves being password protected? If its the latter, that needs to be done on your end, prior to it being uploaded anywhere. Trusting your files encryption to a 3rd party is not a good idea. I've used »www.sendspace.com for years without issue. |

Lawyer-types are often buffoon's when it comes to traversing the slippery slope of clicking a link.
Others corporate firewalls may well be blocking your intended host.
I thought I had come across one that might have looked interesting (don't recall the name offhand), but then Malwarebytes complained about the domain, so I figured, that wasn't going to fly.
Host your own from a NAS. Google Docs ..., Windows Live..., Yahoo...?
The big guys, Akamai or the like?
IMO uploading via FTP is convenient. |
