| Thanks Gordon....I love CCleaner on my PC. I've been using Onyx and Applejack for my Macs. However, it is a process.
I believe that a clean machine is a mean machine. When Piriform announced that they were going to release CCleaner for Mac OS, I posted it in the Mac forum. Most Mac users don't feel that they need to clean out their OS. So I didn't get the best response. It's good you posted it here.
Can any people who now try it, please post your findings/review? That would be most helpful. -- "Is there a 50's Cafe around here"? |

IDK, I love CCleaner on the PCs but, it just doesn't seem to offer anything over better known utilities on the Mac. I think I ran it once and probably wont be doing too much with the new version. -- You Can't Kill Rock 'n' Roll! |

1 edit | reply to hayc59 Having 1 program to clean cache and cookies for all browsers is nice. However, Disk Utility already repairs permissions and wipes free space. If privacy is really that important then upgrade to lion and just encrypt the whole drive. Point being, CCleaner for Mac seems more like a gimmick. I suppose people new to Mac will like that all of those tools are now in 1 program. -- iMac 2.5 Ghz i5 (Lion/Windows 7) - MacBook Air 13" 1.7 Ghz i5 (Lion) - iPhone 4 (ATT) 32 Gig |

Not exactly earth-shattering. |

 | reply to hayc59 Doesn't work on G4 running 10.5 |

| reply to hayc59 So, apparently, it can't even delete cookies or fork diskutil correctly.
... And then you wonder why us Macfolk don't get excited about craptastic windows software of dubious quality with little to no benefit over the native tools?
These clowns should stick to fixing the 64-bit extension of a 32-bit hack on top of a 16-bit shell designed to run on an 8-bit processor by a 2-bit outfit, thankyouverymuch. |

 | reply to hayc59 Your kidding, right?
it never completes the launch, just have to force quit. And you think this is a final, bug-free release?
Good luck with that.
