 | What channels are they? SD or HD?
And have you checked for updated firmware for your TV? -- CHECK YOUR FSLC TAXES!!! |

| They're HD channels (though the SD counterparts aren't perfect). CBS 3 & FOX 29 are the most pixelated. They'll play for a bit, then crap out. I wonder if it's the jack in my bedroom. It's the first time I tried to plug a TV into it.
As for the TV, it was a hand-me-down 37" HDTV in 16x9 format given to us. The first run of flat screens. Perfect for the bedroom, but i'm not sure on firmware. I'll give it a shot. |

 | Try seeing what happens with OTA. If you don't have an antenna, you can build a simple one from coat hangers that works great. It's very directional. Here's a video on how to do it. Or just google coat hanger antenna.

That will at least tell you if it's your tv or not. My guess is you have signal loss somewhere in the cable runs in your home. Or just a week signal period. |

·RCN CABLE
| So it was the cable that was causing the problem. I had a 25' cable that was kind of stretching across the room and it didn't like it. I went out and bought a 100' cable (so I can actually cable the room properly) and before I cabled it worked like a charm. Now when I can get a better deal on a TiVo preview we'll be in business. |

| reply to shadyman777 Some new, weird issues.
For some reason it's back to blocking (pixelating (spelling?)) randomly and often frequently. I did some tests, and had some weird (i'm sure common) results. It looks like when, in the other room, turn on and off the light, it does the pixelating. When my fiance uses her hair dryer, it pixelates. Does this mean it isn't grounded enough.
What's also weird about this is, only on HD channels does it do this, standard SD channels have no issues. Is it a frequency issue? I fear if I do get a box, i'm still going to have this issue. We really are happy with just the basic ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS in the bedroom as we just watch the news before bed. (well she does, if it were up to me i'd just get the $10 preview and have all channels.) |

| said by alanisrox69:Are you using quad shield RG6 cable? Oversight on my part, I figured now that all cable was quad shield now a days. I should of known it wasn't when I bought it for $12 on amazon.com
I guess when RCN comes out whenever I get a box, they'll replace the wire.
I was just curious if the cable wasn't grounded if that caused the issue, but i'm pretty sure it may be the quad shield issue. |
