 | Help Selecting Speaker System Unless I can find a replacement Bass box and control pad for my Logitech z5500...I'm having a tough time deciding. =/
I was thinking something like:
Logitech Speaker System Z623 $132.00 (amazon.com) »www.amazon.com/Logitech-980-0004···__header
or just going all out with a
Bose Companion 5 $267.33 (brytronics.com)(also cheapest price I've seen) »www.brytronics.com/products.php?···VR8M4D99
I'm also thinking how I can connect my LCD to it since I do enjoy Netflix and PS3 games. My LCD has optical and also standard audio red white output. Any input of course would be appreciated and if not, thanks for reading =) |

 | reply to MoReInPuT Thanks, A2s look pretty awesome =) |
|
 | reply to MoReInPuT If I use either the Bose or A2's, how can I connect it to my LCD/PS3. Of course I'll have the sound system plugged into my PC.
My PS3 is connected to my LCD via HDMI. My LCD tv has optical and RCA. In this case I guess I'll have to use RCA & 3.5mm cable? Is there a big difference in sound optical vs RCA & 3.5mm? |

| Standard RCA to RCA for the A2's, but remember that either solution needs a source with a volume control and most LCD TV's don't have a volume control on the line level output.
I would say not really, at least for short distances with the kind of equipment you have. |

| reply to MoReInPuT To use multiple devices, your best bet is to get an AVR (Audio Video Receiver) with the number of inputs required. For example, HDMI output from the PC, PS3, Blu-Ray player, etc. would then input into the AVR. The AVR would process all of the audio to your speakers. The video is passed through to the TV (HDMI from the AVR into the TV).
Two issues to note when using the TV audio output. The volume is not controlled by the TV and the audio output is typically only stereo. -- Google is your Friend |
