Re: IESO Voltage Reduction Test on Feb 7th Right, but my BR1500 has an enormously tighter voltage range than my BR1500G.
In any event, I plugged apcupsd into munin (see attached). It also graphs the load capacity percent, battery capacity percent, power consumption in watts, and runtime remaining in minutes. -- Developer: Tomato/MLPPP, Linux/MLPPP, etc »fixppp.org |

| reply to LazMan Checked my logs (Ottawa) and saw a drop from 121 to 117/118 for the first period and from 121 to 113/114 for the second period.
Oh and my APC Smart-UPS X 1500 is set to 106 to 127 for acceptable input voltage for comparison. This is the tightest setting. It can go to 97-136 at the loosest.
And the firmware on these things is definitely a work in progress. Earlier versions had serious issues with network connectivity dropping out on a regular basis and switching to battery for fun. They've fixed most of this but it still reboots the NMC2 card from time to time (once a month?) for fun. |

Woot for extended run batteries. |
|
|
 | How on earth did you manage that? |

 | According to the model number it has no support for external battery packs. |

 | Bugger, was looking at the specs for the BR1500. |

GuspazGuspazPremium,MVM join:2001-11-05 Montreal, QC kudos:16 1 edit | The BR1500 also supported an external battery, the BR24BP :P You were looking at the BR1500LCD.
Here are the model breakdown:
BR1500: Beige, thin and tall, "Back-UPS RS 1500", supported external battery, no screen BR1500LCD: Dark gray, short and squat, "Back-UPS RS 1500 LCD", no external battery, LCD screen BR1500G: Black, in between the two in shape, "Back-UPS Pro 1500", supports external battery, LCD screen
I have two of them among my active UPS:
BR1500 + BR24BP BR1500G + BR24BPG BE750G
The BE750G only powers the modems/routers, so it should get a very long runtime despite being a small unit. -- Developer: Tomato/MLPPP, Linux/MLPPP, etc »fixppp.org |
