Bell max overage charge

Is the max charge on performance of $80 new? I thought it had changed from $30 to $60.

Usage 25 GB/mo.; $2.00/additional GB (max. $80/mo.), rounded mathematically to the nearest 10 MB increment.

I think it changed from $30 to $60 at the end of 2010, and $60 to $80 on Jan 1st 2012.

In other words, Leave Bell. Wholesale ISP's now have finalized tariffs to go by, and their packages look much better than Bell (If you don't get suckered in by the "first 12 months" discounts).

If you need a lot of bandwidth, Bell isn't for you.

When Both Bell & Rogers first started the overage fees ($25 or 30), that was still somewhat bearable for people... But they've raised it both twice now, and the cost of bandwidth hasnt gone up. Just a cash grab. Get out if you can.

Thanks for the advice HiVolt, I actually left bell around 2007, have been with Tek since then except for a short time with Cogeco. Lessons learned now back with Tek.
I was positing out of curiosity more than anything else.
I have noticed some people quoting the new Bell special for about $20 for the first year, they do not seem to notice that if it is not in a bundle it is $5 extra, and a very measly cap.

Ah, smart guy. I left Bell in 2007 as well.

It's pathetic how Bell is trying to sucker people into their rubbish.

What's really hilarious how much bandwidth FibeTV (IPTV) consumes in the grand scheme of things, and you could watch it 24/7 and not pay a cent extra... But boy oh boy, go over a measly 25GB cap and pay $2/GB...

All on the same shared fiber to the same remote box on your street as internet.

Yep! Someone crunched the numbers on here not that long ago. It was something like 4TB was achievable on Fibe TV.
