Alpharetta, GA | U-verse available at my address... Or not? Finally got an email Friday saying that U-verse TV was available at my address. Spent some time over the weekend to figure out my options, and even had an order ready in my cart on the website (TV, internet and phone).
Saturday I see an installer at a neighbors house and as he is leaving I ask him about U-verse and the internet speed available in our neighborhood. He says that 12 Mb won't be a problem.
Come Monday morning I am ready to pull the trigger. I go to the website and suddenly only internet service is available, and only up to 6 Mb.
So what could be going on?
It was available and now it's not. Signal strength is not a problem according to the installer; and when I look up my address as a business I have both U-verse TV and Internet available.
Any suggestions on what to do? I really want to drop Comcast to save some money but right now DirecTV with keeping Comcast internet is my only alternative (6 Mb is not fast enough). I don't want to order DirecTV and lock myself in for 24 months only to have U-verse become available the next week. |

| Order the U-Verse service and if it is NOT up to your satisfaction don't pay the bill and stay with what you have. The installers will have to verify that your copper wire connections to the VRAD will support all of the U-Verse features to the specs stated. I believe that if you have U-Verse then you have internet, TV & Phone available. |

When I look my address up on the website I only get U-verse internet listed as available. Tv and phone show as not available. As I mentioned, when I look at small business services TV is available so it seems like the system does see my address as qualified for TV.
I want to order all three services at the same time to get the promotional deal with reduced monthly cost and cash back (and avoid the installation costs). |
