| fios digital voice - how much will it reduce my bill? I live in central NJ and have Freedom Essentials for my phone service. If I switch to Digital Voice, which of the charges listed below will I not have to pay or will be reduced?
E911 Tax: $0.90
Federal Excise Tax: $0.19
Federal Subscriber Line Charge: $6.25
Federal Universal Service Fee: $1.92
State tax: $4.14

Be wary of rebundeling, as there is now a directory name removal fee of 2.50 or something. Previously free in freedom essentials |

I didn't really notice much difference in fees when I made the switch. One thing to be careful of is they automatically add an "unlisted number" fee of $3/month to your bill. You'll have to call to get it removed (unless you actually do want an unlisted number). |

| Nonsense, adding or keeping land line always will cost you more than just the Internet. Verizon only give Internet $5 discount when you have land line, but land line cost a lot more than $5.
If you have no use for land line like most people, cancel it and save the money! |
