StR join:2009-11-10 College Station, TX | [Digital TV] TV Guide is gone in BCS? It's been about two weeks that the channel 13, TV Guide is not working in Bryan-College Station area.
Is it gone? .. and no replacement? That's weird... |

FYI:
Sulphur Springs and Winnsboro dropped it as well. I have family there and it is a black channel with no carrier on direct hookups and no longer listed on channel 71 there. |

Then, Suddenlink should 1) start broadcasting their own program listing, as some other cable operators do. 2) transmit the program information for each HDTV and DTV channel (long overdue!). It's doing that for some HDTV channels, but not all.
What annoys the most in all of this is that Suddenlink doesn't bother to inform its customers about changes. The website has very little information, and it's hard to find what is already there. |

Also TV guide made the decision to stop providing the info not suddenlink other providers such as mine Time Warner Cable are dropping the scrolling listings version and moving the full screen version to digital only. |

If you read what I wrote and you quoted, - you would have realized that it is exactly what I suggested: transmit the program information. I don't know about other areas, but in BCS, SL doesn't do that for most of the channels, only channel names are transmitted.
And I don't need a cable box if my TV tuner works fine with the DTV/HDTV channels.
But even if the current program information is transmitted with the (H)DTV channel, you still don't know what's next, and when it'll start/end. |
