[Connectivity] On and off service

I have been a suddenlnk subscriber since their operation came to town.T hey actually took over the cable/ Internet provider I had been using. In the 5 or so years they have been in town not a month goes by that I do not have a problem that needs to be addressed. I have had numerous problems with the Internet including a 6 month period where the service was out completely, while all the while they tried to charge me for the service. Most recently I have been experiencing problems with the system timing out because I have way too high of a level coming into my house. Each time I call it in they slap some sort of bandaid on the system that lasts a month or so,but the problems never get solved.other than that. We usually experience some sort of system wide outage that can last anywhere from a minute to several days.
To get service out of sudden link is quite the ordeal. When I experience a problem with my cable or Internet if I call my local Truckee phone number I have to jump through all the hoops of their automated service, sit while I wait for the next available service rep, and then get the joy of speaking to a representative in of all places, Texas. Usually these people know nothing of the system in Truckee, Ca. Or actually care about my problem. I am usually given the standard we're sorry, that comes across as anything but their being sorry. Then it is usually it will be about a week or ten days until we can get a service tech out there. Now because of all the time I have spent dealing with suddenlink's nonsense I have the direct line to the customer service manager and we are on a first name basis. I speak to her about once every two weeks because that's what I average for service interruptions. But here is the the thing with all the calling and reporting of problems I have, wouldn't you think that sudden link would actually solve the problems or at least offer me the service at a discount.I pay nearly $90 a month for this headache and the price always seems to be going up. I know I could drop them as a provider but I live in an area with a huge amount of old growth tree and I am not able to receive such services as direct tv or dish network. So in my mind suddenlink actually has a monopoly on tv and Internet.v
