[2K3] Windows Domains Access and DSL Branches

I have friend that currently needs some help with his Windows environment. He has a remote site, connected via DSL, that's receiving their first new PC. However, the new PC wasn't previously added to the AD branch at the main office. Furthermore, the new PC needs the ability to access remote (AD) network shares.

So, to accomplish this over a DSL line, doesn't he need to setup a VPN connection to the main office first, and then add the PC to the domain? If not, what's the best way to get this machine on the domain?

Hope this helps...

If the network is all set up right he won't need to VPN in. Just add it to the domain like normal. If the network isn't set up right he will have to VPN in and then join the domain as normal.
