ACANAC VOIP

I give you a advise, dont take subscription with acanac voip if you phone line is important for you, since one month, the servers as down two times, and today is down for more of 6 hours, and worst is the service, the person can ignore you problem with pleasure.

Never again voip... It is not stable and the company does not take it seriously.

To be fair, it's not all VoIP that's bad. Just the provider, in your case, Acanac that let you down.

There are many other Canadian solutions both full service and a la carte varieties!

I find it so unfortunate that with this great technology most of us here use every day, we still see posts like this. To the OP, I'm sorry to hear about your experiences.

The great thing about VoIP is that the technology is so readily available and it's easy to play with and learn about. Unfortunately that's a double edged sword. It also means someone can start up a "VoIP Provider" in under an hour.

Doing VoIP well takes skill, lots of experience, and a significant time investment. Indeed, there are many excellent VoIP providers that are Canadian such as AcroVoice (Trev's company), and VoIP.ms (MartinM and suppafly's company), and also American VoIP providers that provide service to Canada such as Anveo, and Callcentric (Iscream's company).

You have to see that, yesterday, i have no service during the day, this morning, all is fine, i try yesterday to reset my ata 50 times, and i try with a voip soft, and nothing work... And this morning by magic, all is fine, and look the answer of the person suposed to give a support service... :

Hello Marc,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Your account is currently registered to the server and should work fine. The problem was with the ATA modem which had lost the connection to the server. A reboot/repower resolve such issues. You can also change the registration expiry time to a shorter time in seconds e.g. 900 to prevent such problems.
