| [CenturyTel] SMTP Question I am trying to use set up a Xerox to do scan to email. My question is, do I have to use a centurylink.net email address to use their CenturyLink SMTP server smtp.centurylink.net, or do I need to use SMTP from my domain hosting company? Also on a side note, can I use smtp.centurylink.net if I decide to use a gmail address in the Xerox?
Is the SMTP server a database that authenticates against an internal list of emails, or will pretty much any SMTP server work with any email address? |
