 | [CenturyTel] Lost access to newsgroups - just me? Last night I lost all access to NNTP and HTTP traffic for newsgroup related sites. I subscribe to 2 providers, neither will connect. Nor can I connect to most HTTP sites that are newsgroup related: Easynews.com, usenetserver.com, usenetserver.com all time out. All other sites are good. Coincidence? I don't think so. CL tech support is lost, as would be expected. Anybody else seeing this? |

 | reply to BlueSteel Not just you. I have lost access as of Monday night. |

I'd think CL would have to update their terms of service agreement prior to cutting off access to newsgroups.
Have either of you guys called CL about the issue your seeing? |

 | reply to BlueSteel To close the loop on this, after 4 days of outage, NNTP and HTTP access has been restored. Perhaps a result of my numerous calls to CL tech support? So for now, its back. |

SH @embarqhsd.net | I just lost the ability to connect to seedunlimited.com on CenturyLink. I know the site is up because I'm hitting it on my work's cable connection, anyone else seeing this? They going to start blocking sites now? |
|
 | It loads okay here, just slowly since I'm unfortunately a CL customer. If they were to start blocking specific sites I'm sure they would run afoul of quite a few government regulations. |
