So we have NBC Sports HD, ESPN HD, so where is CBS Sports HD

I want CBS Sports HD, PCN HD and TCN HD, any chance we ever get them?

According to PCN Website, they are carried in HD in some areas (as opposed to none by a lot of cable companies including Comcast)
Bethel Park — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Bristol — channel 9
Broomall — channel 9
Coatesville — channel 9
Downingtown — channel 9
Harrisburg Area – channel 9/ PCN HD 509
Havertown — channel 9
Lansdale — channel 9
Malvern — channel 9
Monroeville — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Mt. Lebanon — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Newtown Square — channel 9
Penn Hills — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Pittsburgh Suburbs — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Ross — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Shaler — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Southeastern PA/Philadelphia Suburbs — channel 9
Upper St. Clair — channel 21/ PCN HD 521
Warminster — channel 9
Wilkensburg — channel 21/ PCN HD 521

And I'm guessing that TCN has as much to do with Comcast as it does Verizon.

CBS Sports HD was supposed to be added back in 2009, per a press release. It never was.

TCN HD (Comcast Network HD) - nothing to do with Comcast - the HD feed feed is live at our VHO in Philly - we just need a space for it.

PCN HD - Pittsburgh and Harrisburg carry it b/c they have open local QAM spaces at their VHO's.

So to answer your question Acct, until more capacity is made at the Philly VHO, we won't see anything.

I want it too. I'd hammer Joe on Twitter here:

And you can ask for it again here:

Looks like the areas that PCN are carried, it is done as a local channel. Isn't there QAM set aside for local channels? I know we have a fair amount of Local HD here.
And we have the Wash/Baltimore TCN here. Can't imagine there isn't room in Pa for the equivalent channel.

Crobert-
There's not currently.

VHO8 in Philly is bent over when it comes to locals.
Because of the footprint it covers, we have to fit room for:

- Philly Locals (SD & HD)
- NYC Locals (SD & HD - only for Mercer County, NJ customers)
- Comcast Sportsnet Philly
- The newly added MSG HD channels (potentially up to 4 - again, only for the MC, NJ customers)
- Sportsnet NY HD (for MC, NJ customers)
- MASN HD (for Delaware customers)
- Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic HD(for Central & Southern DE customers)

Harrisburg and Pittsburgh have plenty of local QAM space left over.

This is also the reason that Delaware customers are the ONLY ONES that do not yet receive MASN2 HD.

However, our lovable Twitter Joe did comment recently that "Regional sports networks" would be some of the 1st new HD channels to be added this year. May be a favorable statement...

Thanks. You guys are even more crammed than us. We just have Baltimore and Washington channels. You are handling PHL, NYC and DE.

Perhaps easier than waiting for IPTV would be to split VHO8 in two. e.g. make Mercer County VHO8a.

Seems like Philly & burbs are paying the price for being in the middle of two areas that are in two markets.
