 | [HSI] Anyone get a phone call or letter about going over cap I am curious if anyone here has ever officially been notified from Charter via phone or letter that they have gone over there cap and have been issued their first or second warning?
I am on Plus and have 250GB cap. I normally do 100-175GB a month but this month I have done 366GB and was wondering what are the odds of me getting notified of "strike 1"?
Lastly, dont caps reset on the 1st of month and NOT the bill cycle? |

and second depends on area but even if they do warn you you need to go over 3 times in 6 months |

 | Employee who called me last month-forgot his name-told me it's a rolling six month period. If I cross 500 gigs any two months out of the next five, I get cut off for six months.
Therein lies my frustration with all this. Ask different employees and get that many different answers. Not to mention there's no online meter so you have to call/chat with a CSR to find out about your usage - and then take their word for it. |

 | reply to njt462 I think you have to be over by 3x or more. I only got a call for going over the 250GB cap when I hit nearly 900GB one month. |

 | reply to njt462 I have never gotten a letter or call, but what I have found out, is that its based on an area by area basis. Im on the ultra 100 plan, and I used close to 2 TB in january, and they have not said a word. |

Flak join:2002-07-31 Milwaukee, WI | I go well over my cap every month. And have since charter initiated the caps. I was wondering about the supposed overage calls that people say they get. So I called my local supervisor who put me in touch with Charter's Abuse center. According to them, you won't get a call, you get a letter. The letter gives you information on usage and a number to call for information. And they say they have not sent out any letters for cap overages. |

 | So far not a peep from Charter regarding January's usage of 366GB. |
