Anyone feeling brave enough to trust their data to this product? No. I don't trust Solaris' ZFS for my production data, let alone this one-off reimplementation.
VxFS forever! |

I wouldn't trust Veritas for anything - including their filesystem, but wouldn't have any qualms about using ZFS in production. |

| reply to ArchAngel21x I'd prefer that ZFS be built into OS X so it's been Apple tested and approved. I also understand that ZFS only really shines when RAID is being used. Both my laptop and desktop have just 1 drive, and my backup solution involves single external hard drives. Not sure what someone like me gains from ZFS. -- iMac 2.5 Ghz i5 (Lion/Windows 7) - MacBook Air 13" 1.7 Ghz i5 (Lion) - iPhone 4 (ATT) 32 Gig |
