Acanac, Inc.

If you are having problems with your phone line you need to email support@acanac.com so they can call you to see what the problem is. Calling a tec here whom deals with modems etc. will not help you. It needs to be looked at by the right department.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the reviewers. The bad and the Good. I see that quebecer reviewers have bad experience which is normal. I am also from quebec. I am fed up with internet providers here. If they promisse you 8.0 Mb or even a thousand Mb you will not get more than 0.5 Mb. I tried so many DSL providers and they are all the same. So the problem is not with Acanac but with the BELL infrastructure that is 200 years old. BELL is HELL. Imagin, I was paying for a high speed with Sympatico for 5 years but also I used to spend few hours aday with their tech support. After 5 years they told me (we are sorry, high speed is not available in your area) and of course they refused to refund. I moved several times from area to a different area, so which means All the QC province does not have high speed. And you know what: Oneday they told me that (The reason why you don`t have good spead is that you are too far from the server, I asked: How far am I? The answer is: 3 KM) When I was living in europe, you can live in a city and have your ISP even a thousand KM away, no problem with spead at all. Also in europe they already reached the 100 Mb/s and here we are still struggeling for 0.5 Mb/s.

I tried to get information about Acanac from their sales reps, so far I spoke to 2 (no need to mention names) and yes they all sound sleepy and they don't encourage me to ask more question, so just say thanks bye bye. I want to try them with cable internet but the sales reps are not encouraging me.

Anyway, for those in Quebec, do not blame Acanac for the slowness if you are on a DSL as DSL is BELL and BELL is HELL.

Thank you AdQuebec for explaining that to the here. You are right. Bell does dictate the speed which the customers receive.
