1 edit | ATT Uverse ADSL2+ Switch from Fast to Interleaved Last week we had a storm and did some damage to phone line they came and repaired yesterday.
I noticed a switch on the Motorola NVG510 modem. The modem used to read 11996kbps Download and 1024 upload with a fast datapath. However now the modem reads 11996kbps download and 886upload with a interleaved data path. Basically speed test went from 10mb down and .95 up to 10mb down and .8 up.
Wouldnt be a big problem but as a gamer and someone that has been doing broadcast streaming the drop in upload hurts. I called support and they said that the account was set for 800kbps per sec so my upload was fine. When told them i had Uverse Max which was 12mbps down and 1.5mbps upload the conversation basically hit a slippery slope in which case i had to leave for work after 50 min conversation.
I know ADSL2+ doesnt reach 1.5mpbs upload speed with it have a true max around 1.3mbps but just having the extra upload i had before would be nice. The upload being my main reason from switching from DSL paying $25 a month to Uverse which is $48. |
