Binbrook, ON | Gateway Available for Hamilton, ON Customers? I'd really like to upgrade to the Gateway PVRs, but I was told back in the fall that they're not available to Shaw Hamilton (former Mountain Cable) subscribers. What's with the slow rollout of services to us equal paying customers as western ones? |

Apologies we don't have the Gateway hardware rolled out in your area yet, but acquiring new systems is quite the undertaking. Besides the whole billing system, there's technologies that aren't always the same and have to be aligned with ours.

| I am also a Shaw Hamilton customer and I've been calling every month or so to find out when they plan to roll out the gateway's over here. As of my last contact with them, they stated that they were beginning the migration to the Shaw proper billing system on February 5th and expected it to be completed by the end of the month.
As for when we'd get the Gateway's though they wouldn't be more specific. I'd estimate that we won't see them until summer, since none of the people here are trained in anything to do with the gateway, they will have to probably bring someone from out west to train people here to do installations.
Would love to get off Bell satellite but refuse to use the Pace boxes that use that god awful canada-wide TV-Guide system blanket OS that we've been stuck with since, oh, the late 90's? |
