| Does anyone have a favourite *light* mid tower ATX case? I'm in the midst of speccing out my new i7 PC build but have run into an unusual wrinkle.
I cannot lift heavy weight owing to a physical disability so I'm trying to save weight where I can and the first and only thing that I could think of was the case (I'd need at least mid tower to accommodate an ATX sized MB)
Does anyone have a favourite case, or can suggest a line of cases that are lightweight that are available in Canada?

| There's cheaper, and more basic cases, however I like this case. »www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as···%20scout -- I distrust those people who know so well what god wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires- Susan B. | reply to NefCanuck Why not head down to your local Canada Computers or other computer store, and try lifting the ones they have on display.
Lian-Li makes cases entirely out of aluminium. Some of their cases tip the scale at only 5kg. |

 | reply to NefCanuck Depends on what weight you can comfortably lift. I'd determine that first (since it seems to be a priority) and then shop for a case. I have a Antec 300 I bought for a new build last year that was way lighter than my previous case (a full tower steel and plastic monstrosity) but still feels pretty sturdy. Plenty of room to work with and better than average (if not perfect) cable management if you take the time to plan things out. Of course I didn't choose it based on weight but features and cost ($50 on sale at my local Microcenter). Newegg's site is probably the best out there as it has the weight listed for some of the cases they sell (under the "details" tab) and is pretty good at letting you choose what options you want. They also put a link to the manufacturer's page for that product. |

I was actually at a Canada Computers the other day but the one I was at didn't have Lain Li cases out in the form factor I was looking for that day (I'll head back again, their open stock rotates frequently)
