Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit and gnome. May back-up to 10.04.3 for the LTS since there won't be Unity nor HUD in my future. |

Specializing in architecture and landscapes, my desktop gets refreshed with a different wallpaper every hour, showing the water fountains, pyramid buildings, Contemporary, and any others that Ive took pictures while at Disney World. This keeps my desktop looking fresh and lively and it works best with translucent panels as shown here. -- Current Soft Phone (temp): Ekiga (ordered Yealink T22P to switch from Ekiga) Phone System: Asterisk 1.8; Server: Ubuntu Server 10.04 with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard as guest |

 | Hover your mouse over to the left and get 1-click access to programs you need. |
Oh, I'll add one more. If you haver your mouse to the left off the screen, this is what you'll get. It would be nice, however, if I could have folders with labels in the panel popping up with the icons in the right. You know, something like this:
Main: Firefox, Konsole, Dolphin KXStudio Utilities: Cadence, Klaudia, Catia, Carla Audio Synths: Aeolus, ZynAddSubFX, JSampler, QSynth etc.
Alas, it's nice to have one-click access to all the programs that I need for music creation. -- Current Soft Phone (temp): Ekiga (ordered Yealink T22P to switch from Ekiga) Phone System: Asterisk 1.8; Server: Ubuntu Server 10.04 with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard as guest |

No change from January (posting anyway), still waiting to go on a drive and get my own photo, but this time of year is difficult, love the mountains, east and south side of Mount St. Helens. Though may try to go up that way next month and see. |

On a whim I decided to give gnome 3 another go. Kinda weird going from a very basic tiling WM with minimal graphical apps to a feature rich DE after years without. I like it though, especially after I added a few extra keyboard shortcuts for changing between workspaces and moving applications between workspaces. Now if only the evolution account wizard wasn't bugged to high shit I'd be 100% satisfied. |

Open Suse 12.1, KDE that comes with it.
It was a pleasantly boring winter, photo op wise here in New England this year, so I had to resort to archive photos for February.
