OK, I just had my internet restarted today due to lack of funds. I have a static IP. And I cannot get the static ip part to work in both the modem and router config.
I have the modem bridged, but for some reason, when I enter the info in my linksys router for static ip, it just does not want to talk to the modem.
Here is what I got, a CenturyLink Model 660 Modem, a Linksys WRT350N.
Right now I am not on my static IP, which I am paying for. Anyone got any clues? I entered all correct info, and still no go, and I hate talking with CenturyLink techs cause, well, they read from a damn book. -- Custom Built AMD Athlon XP II OC'd to 2GHZ. 2TB of Drive Space, 4GB of Ram, NVIDIA Video, 22" AOC Monitor, Stock Sound Card, Gigibit Ethernet, Wireless N, Blu-Ray Burner.

If it works by setting your configuration for DHCP, then I would say that is the issue. You need to get someone at HSI Support to take care of it. It may also be faster to contact the support team. Send an email with your problem details and account info to: talktous@centurylink.com |

I will call Centurylink tomorrow and talk to them for 4 hours or so. I am not very happy that I sat here and waited for the dude to call back soon as I got the wires all ran to hard wire my modem to my pc. |
