| iTunes My sister just got a new Mac. I seriously steered her towards a 7 machine because I knew I would end up being the one giving tech support, but alas, she got it. Yippee.
Anyways, she is picking up the OS. One thing: On her old PC, she had made a mess of her library: the music was on an external drive, but it had multiple upon multiple libraries nested with artist folders everywhere. The good part is that she DID have the "copy songs into the iTunes folder selected"-so the we found the folder with all the songs.
But, as for the library and the playlists-she has a bunch scattered around (and has since tampered affecting dates modified. Is there any way on the her PC to find out which library/database was being used? It was working/had the playlists she wanted.
She has the songs on her iMac, but no playlists. (I am not there to verify if the song data is correct.) Assuming we got the music folder over correctly, can I use the export library menu command to export the correct one/put that in the IT Music folder? |

 | You can try to export/import the entire iTunes library, or you can export/import the individual playlists.
Right click the playlist you want to save and hit Export... and save it. I personally use the M3U format. -- less talk, more music |
