Works great, love it, still better than the FiOS DVR with 1.9 Only thing you really give up is FiOS On Demand and outside of Pay Per View Movies, with a 4 tuner DVR and 2TB of storage your not gonna miss anything anyway. Enjoy if your getting one. There's more than enough PPV on TiVo's anyway. |

 | Thank Joe, I'm thinking of getting one with FIOS. I think with 4 turner that pretty cool. I don't think I miss anything FIOS PPV. Thank u in advance. |

Is it you just want away from RCN? Looking at their website they offer a 4 tuner TiVo with their service. I use to have them here in MA, the PQ wasnt bad, it wasnt FiOS good but not bad, their prices were crazy and their customer service was pittiful though. |

 | reply to John W Works like a charm. The 4 tuners and 2TB recording capacity are a real plus. It also offers MoCA capability which pairs it nicely with FIOS technology. |

Using TiVo Desktop you can transfer shows from your TiVo to your PC and then i use a program called VideoReDo to burn it to DVD, it also removes the commercials. There are other programs, Liquid TV but VideoReDo TV Suit seems to have been designed with TiVo in mind. If you have a DVD recorder you may also be able to record it as its aired with commerials intact. I also use the TiVo Desktop program to send video to a back up hard drive for addional storage, mostly concerts for me. You can also send video to TiVo using TiVo Desktop, like something you recorded, the kids ball game for example, bring it home, transfer it to your PC then play it on your Tivo, or something you download off the net. |

 | reply to RCN4cable I also like the TiVO interface/GUI better then the FiOS one (even post 1.9) |
|
 | reply to RCN4cable You can direct output of a FIOS STB to DVD recorder and record programs to DVD as well. Do it all the time (including VOD but don't tell MPAA). |

 | reply to RCN4cable I just want to thank everyone for all your input about this issues. THis is going to help me a whole lot. |

THis is going to help me a whole lot. you are most welcome, after you get your Elite and have had time to play with it PM me and let me know what you think of it please. I would love to have one myself but the price tag is pushing me back from it. That and i recently upgraded my TiVo HD to Lifetime service and a 2TB HDD. |

 | reply to RCN4cable I have TiVo Premiere Elite using FIOS and I love it. The interface it much better than FIOS DVR boxes and fully capable of operating all four tuners with the cable card. |

 | DBL CLick, Do you mind not having the FIOS widget ? |
|
 | reply to RCN4cable Love my Elite, especially after the 20.2 update. The few issues I had seemed to be resolved. |

Just starting out with FiOS you will never had these things so there will be nothing to miss. The saving of overall annoyance of FiOS DVR's will outweigh any convience of FiOS widgets IMO, I will qualify that by saying i also have a FiOS 7232-2 DVR..and i do actually like, but the day i get charged for it i will gladly give it back to Verizon with a smile! |

| reply to RCN4cable I've been using my Premiere Elite for around four months now(since the 10/09/2011 launch). It's been working great with FiOS. And with the recently released software the box has improved even more.
The big thing they enabled was streaming between Premieres . So instead of having to transfer content to my three, two tuner, premieres before watching. I can now just stream it to each box to watch it. |
|
 | reply to RCN4cable well the widget offers little value for me. What I mainly miss with the TiVo is the VOD. Hopefully that will be solved soon through plugins or on the XBox. |
