| [Help] Steering wheel cover worn out The steering wheel leather has worn through on my 2004 Corolla at the 12 o'clock position.
Is it possible to buy the stock leather to recover the streering wheel from Toyota or from the original mfg of the wheel??
I have seen things like "wheelskins" but I would rather have the original. If the leather will wear through, to me it seems like someone would sell the stock oem replacement covering. -- ...brought to you by Carl's Jr. |

You would need the parts schematic/illustrated exploded view to see if it is integral to the steering wheel or separately available.. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

Any time I have had to make such a repair it required a new wheel assembly. Some are available aftermarket, and many times we had decent luck with used parts as well. |

| Toyota can sell me the entire wheel only. I was afraid this would happen.
I will check out some salvage to see if there is a good one available or I guess I will just settle with the wheelskins as it looks like the next best thing. All other aftermarket covers in stores add considerable thickness to your steering wheel. -- ...brought to you by Carl's Jr. |

In other words, removal of the leather may reveal a nearly new-looking resin wheel. It may not though, so check in an inconspicuous area. -- The talented hawk speaks French. |
