| Lasership? Anyone ever heard of them? Placed an order a few days back from Amazon & that's how they sent it. Delivery day, some dude jumps out of a van & runs to my door. -- A king must have two thrones: one he sits on in public, the other in private! |

 | reply to Madness Quite a lot of my amazon orders use lasership. I've had no problems, but I've not seen any other retailer utilize them yet. |

netboy34 join:2001-08-29 Kennesaw, GA kudos:1 | reply to Madness Amazon like to use them for one day and some two day shipments... Think of them as a cheaper version of Airborne before DHL bought them.
I have a friend that works at an Amazon warehouse, he said that the system checks the prices of shipping an item and just spits out a label to put on the box. One item I ordered (I have Prime), two day UPS was more expensive than 1 day Lasership. I got my item faster and they saved money... go figure... |

 | reply to Madness I love lasership! They are always super fast and always seem to deliver early for me. It makes my day when I order something from Amazon and see Lasership as the carrier. They get a perfect 10 out of about 2 dozen deliveries so far. |

| reply to Madness Never seen a 1 day lasership. Last time I got a package a guy drives up in a white, unmarked, Astro van that smells like the catalyst was removed. He's on the phone talking in Spanish, walks up the driveway and hands me the package and walks away all the while talking to someone on the phone. -- PRescott7-2097 |

 | reply to Madness They're well-known to just about every Amazon Prime member who has packages delivered. I haven't had any problems with them [yet], but every such service is going to have some percentage of "problem" deliveries. I'd really classify them as more of a courier service than a package delivery service. I don't care much for the lack of detail offered for tracking--would rather pay more for UPS/FedEx to get better tracking. -- "Sorry for not responding to your post, but either I haven't seen it yet, or what you said was so devoid of substance that I found it utterly uninteresting." |

| Thing is, I'm not a Prime member, I just always order at least $25 worth of stuff to get the free shipping. Every past order went U(S)PS, so this was a first for me.
And to the ding-dong who just has to chime in w/ a "Google-it" post: I did; I was just curious to hear some opinions from others. -- A king must have two thrones: one he sits on in public, the other in private! |

 | I only mention Prime because of the [default] free 2-day(?) shipping -- it's the cheapest available in Amazon's shipping options, so that's what they use when possible (especially when they don't charge the customer for shipping). The Amazon forums have more info than here (of course, people usually only post there about shipping to complain about a problem, so naturally you're going to see a lot of that). -- "Sorry for not responding to your post, but either I haven't seen it yet, or what you said was so devoid of substance that I found it utterly uninteresting." |
