EDIT: What neuromancer1 said 9 seconds before I did. |

 | reply to neuromancer1 I'm kind of leery of that company. When i saw J.F. switch to them then i knew never sign up with Electronic Box. |
|
 | Leery? Ebox is what TSI used be they've always been a good company. You can speak to Diskace on the forms just like you used to be able to with Rocky. $33.95 6MB 250GB cap DSL, unlimited between 2am-noon is anything but leery. |

Yep Marc in a few short months managed to turn a good company into a Mini Bell.
Shouldn't be too long now, you'll be getting "Dave" in Mumbai. |

Where is Rocky? |

Where is Rocky? I checked his account and he hasn't logged in to the site since he came in and said Merry Christmas to everyone. -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake....... |

Kinda has a 'RING' to it, eh ?
But seriously, I think that Marc and team are reviewing the structure and wording as we speak. |

And people were upset at the $2 increase a year or so ago lol... can't help but laugh at that Here's the short version. New customers on DSL2 and DSL6 have to pay a monthly $1.50 "Activation Charge" (previously called a "Network Fee" earlier this morning). New customers have to pay an $8 modem rental fee, and it's not like there's an option to buy one. DSL10 in Quebec at its finalized price still costs $3 more than DSL12 in Ontario, and $1 less than DSL16. They no longer charge overage fees, now if you go over the cap they just bump you up to unlimited. The installation fee for Rogers-land cable was bumped up by $20 from $25/$45 to $45/$65. And Quebec cable... well, it turns out that February 2nd is 2 weeks away.
EDIT: And TSI Marc and TSI Martin didn't see their shadow, so there's 6 more weeks of silence.
EDIT2: I had a brain fart and forgot to mention that the $8 modem rental fee only applies to the DSL25 speed tier. Thanks Davesnothere. |

Where is Rocky? Ok, I'm far from the first to defend Teksavvy, and I think they've definitely got some areas to improve on, but this is really going too far. They don't have any control over the fees that they are forced to charge, so blaming them is pointless. Where they have fallen down is in notification. Had we known about these charges when they sent out the price change notification, people could have planned accordingly.
It's the same with their blog, nice idea, but there hasn't been an update this year (unless they did one today). Keep customers informed should have a higher priority than it seems to have. |
