 | How to setup repeating speed test This was very helpful in giving me data to prove what was going on with my DSL connection.
I got tired of going to Speedtest.net every time I wanted to check my Internet speed. This automates it.
It is free to create a login. Then go to the Speed Test Menu and at the bottom of the menu is "Automatic Speed Test".
I setup an hourly test that repeats 100 times. You will need a home computer that can stay on and keep the webpage up. Might be an issue for people that share with kids and others.
After the 100 tests are done I just set it up to run again. I wanted at least 2 weeks of data.
It gives you a nice graph and below that the hard numbers. You can even export the data in CSV form to pull into Excel.
You have the ability to look at just small chunks of it or every test you have run.
You can then create a link for anyone else to go to so they will see your data.
Here is mine: »testmy.net/stats/?&t=u&l=500&q=mike789r
Hope this helps others out there!

 | Aaron,
That would be great because the support person on the phone yesterday wanted nothing to do with it. Tier 1 support, not a big surprise.
So can you check out my other post regarding my speed issue here: »[Troubles] Granville, Oh - 6 Mbps DSL slow every night
Thanks,
