Signed 2 year agreement and lost CBS College Sports
I've been a Fios subscriber for several years. Recently my contract expired so I called Verizon and locked in another 2 year agreement. I didn't change anything, I had Extreme HD before and kept it for the new 2 year agreement.
Soon after that I lost the CBS College Sports channel. Did I get moved to a new Extreme HD package? Can I go back to the previous Extreme HD package?
reply to gonzo70 CBS Sports was included in the 2009 Extreme HD package. It was moved to the Ultimate HD package in 2010 when the TV packages were updated by VZ therefore not included in the current Extreme HD package.
Very confusing and misleading on Verizon's part by keeping the same name for a technically different package between 2009 and 2010+. Unfortunately, you cannot go back to an older package after it's been changed. The VZ rep over the phone should have explained the difference in packages.
You can try giving them a call back and explaining the situation. You might be able to negotiate a fair price for the Ultimate HD package if this is a must-have channel for you.
