[FireFox] Firefox 10 breaks forums?

So far I have seen issues with XDA Developers and MSDN.

For XDA Develpers go here:

»forum.xda-developers.com/showthr···5&page=4

and search for "The Following User Says Thank You to dbaybay For This Useful Post:". Press "Show/Hide" - works in 9.01 but in 10.0 does nothing.

For MSDN try to reply with a quote to any post. 9.0 displays quoted text as properly formatted. 10.0 shows raw HTML.

There must be something in the forum software causing that. I have not seen it because I'm not signing up with xda for this and your msdn example needs a link. I've not had any issues with forums I visit.

It may be something in forum software but it works fine with FF 9.0.1

You don't need to be logged in to XDA to see the problem.

For MSDN you can use this thread:

»social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums···569c6411

and try to reply with a quote to any message.

I already submitted MSDN bug: »bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=723695

In the xda forum, clicking on that sends you to their own custom javascript to handle that. I don't feel like digging through their js to see what they're doing. The second needs a Live ID and I don't do Microsoft stuff.

EDIT: Oh! I'll bet one of the respondents on bugzilla has already caught the problem. The two digit version change. Everyone's been warned about that. Which would make it the site's error, as I said.

Well, you just lost your bet. I spoofed FF user agent to show 9.01 and both problems still occur.

Just FYI: you can create Live ID account to login to MSDN forums with any email address, doesn't have to be from Hotmail. I wish Google allowed that for their services.

Does the problem exist on any other forum? I'm still betting it's something they are doing wrong.

As far as MSDN goes, I have no use for that.
