 | Purchasing Rogers SMC D3 Modem I notice Rogers Plus stores are selling the Rogers SMC D3 modems for $149.99.
Does anyone know other retailer that sells the Rogers SMC D3 modem for a discount? |

 | reply to HiVolt The Rogers Plus store told me they only have the SMC version for sale. The Cisco D3 is in their rental pool. Any store carries the Cisco one for sale? |

So, just 'cause you can find one cheaper, doesn't mean it will do you any good... (They track serial #'s - they'll know...) |

 | reply to klamath Rogers does not sell the Cisco DPC3825. Only the SMC comes in a retail sell through package. The only way to get the Cisco as a purchase is to buy the SMC and swap it as a "defective" unit. 99% of Cisco units being circulated are BNIB. |

So, just 'cause you can find one cheaper, doesn't mean it will do you any good... (They track serial #'s - they'll know...) I wonder if a CCTS complaint against Rogers would work with this regard... Say you have a Motorola SB6120 or Thomson DCM475, both are DOCSIS 3.0 and Rogers has approved and certified for use on TPIA ISP's like TekSavvy or Distributel, and these modems work just fine on the Rogers network.
Why should the customer be forced to buy or rent from Rogers, when there is no technical reason behind it? -- GO LEAFS GO! |
