 | [TWC] Wideband issues once again... Things had been working great since my last post here, but over the past 3-4 weeks we've been having some serious problems with our Wideband internet, I had everything set up with the Ubee modem in bridge mode, using my trusty D-link router. Had a At&t microcell and an xbox 360 wired to the d-link, everything else connected wirelessly. This worked wonderfully for months. I could use the xbox, while my while was streaming video upstairs and we had enough bandwidth to where neither of us had an issue. Then one night everything just stopped working, router appeared to no longer work. I went and purchased another router, same thing.
During all this, I rebooted everything multiple times, did all the normal things to try to get it all working again. Finally I reset the Ubee back to the original settings like Time Warner first installed it. This is working, but nowhere near the level it should be. Getting constant dropped connections (wired and wirelessly), the speeds have been wildly fluctuating (as low as 10/2, and high as 21/4), I have to reset the modem about once a day, and our M-cell won't work with it at all. I think we need to get a replacement modem, but I'm willing to try anything to get my connection back to what it once was. My wife is on my back to get this "$100 a month crappy internet" fixed!
I REALLY don't want to have to call customer support and talk to someone that thinks I have no clue about any of this. I'd really like to get my hands on a replacement modem though... |

If your router allows it, you might try telling it to renew the DCHP (sp?) lease on the WAN port. This usually works for me and it not so much trouble. Over a period of months, I've had to do it on average about once per day with the 30/5 service. |

 | I was supposed to have a tech here today, but they called from a blocked number (so I didn't answer) and she left a message saying I had to reschedule since I didn't answer! (RAGE!)
My download is 0.47 and upload is 0.61 right now, I'm paying $100 a month for THAT? I'm REAL close to just switching to At&t... |

RWildThem Or UsPremium join:2003-09-15 Cary, NC | Is your Ubee currently connected to your router and, if so, is the Ubee in bridge mode? If the Ubee is connected to the router and is not in bridge mode, that is part of your problem since both devices are doing NAT. |
