 | Frontier website issues Is anyone from the former Verizon territories having issues logging into your account from the Frontier website? I always like to log in and see what my next bill total is going to be before I get it and to periodically monitor the spam filter that I still cannot find how to disable. However the website front page has changed since last time used it although it still redirects to ncnetwork. And now I cannot login. When attempting to login I get an error in the box area where the login screen is located, while the rest of the page remains the same.
The website is unable to display the webpage
HTTP 501/HTTP 505
So out of frustration I tried to create a new login account and of course it wouldn't let me because an account already exists on this phone line.
The online account management site has always had issues even back under Verizon but never this bad and I could always go in and turn off/on the auto spam protection from the email accounts. |
|
 | Using IE 8 I got a more specific error descriptor
This error (HTTP 501 Not Implemented or HTTP 505 Version Not Supported) means that the website you are visiting doesn't currently have the ability to display the webpage, or support the HTTP version used to request the page.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
So no one else who posts to these forums is having this issue when attempting to login to your frontier management account?
I do not want to have to call them for fear of being fed the lame excuse that my modem is at fault and I have to replace it with one of the so called new frontier ones the comes with mandatory endless modem fees.
However its been over 24 hours and the problem has not yet resolved. |

| reply to JediSurfer I wonder if Frontier's and Verizon's websites are still tied together in some way, shape or form. A few months ago Verizon changed something on their website that was causing these exact issues. You have to reload the page dozens of times until it logs in or kicks you back to the main screen. Verizon seemed to start fixing the issue just a week or two ago, but they may have broken something with Frontier if the systems are still tied together in some way. |
|
 | Well I tried umpteen times with no success and I also purposely typed in a wrong password so nothing seems to be getting threw on the send sign in button is clicked. Only the 501/505 error appears instantaneously. Additionally Frontier seems to have shutdown the online chat agent so I guess that means I only have the call center left. I just hope I get someone intelligent enough to not be blaming the modem and trying to set me up with a replacement. |

 | reply to JediSurfer Yes, I have the same exact problem with IE 8 and Win 7 on several computers. It used to work (less than a month ago) with no problem because I check and print my bill from the site. The only success I have is running on a computer with XP and IE.
I wish Verizon never sold the business off. Frontier still has several references to Verizon on their website and it's been over a year? |

 | reply to JediSurfer Looks like I found the answer to the issue with the website.
This system is unavailable until Friday, March 9, 2012.
The My Account Management and Online Billing Service pages are unavailable as we implement modifications to our online billing system. There will not be any late fees while the system is unavailable; we will adjust the due date to allow time for payment. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact a Frontier Consultant at:
Residential 888-376-6843 Business 877-387-3477
So I wonder if this means the Verizon to Frontier conversion will be finally completed? |

 | Interesting because I just tried logging on again with a computer running XP and IE8 and had no problem. But the Win7 and IE8 computers give the 501/505 error every time. I contacted Fronrizon by email support about the situation. We'll see what their response is. |

|
 | Yes, I checked all the Win 7 machines, firewalls, etc. It's not a problem with Win 7.
Below is the official response from Frontier I received today and they are acknowledging a problem.
"Dear Frontier Customer, Thank you for your email, we apologize for the delay in our response.
Unfortunately, yes we are having issues with our website recognizing customer accounts. At first it was just issues with Firefox, Google and Safari, now we are having issues with all Internet Explorer 8 and 9 as well. Our web developers are working on this issue and should have it resolved by the end of the month. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.
Thank you for using the New Frontier. We appreciate your business.

 | I just got off the phone with CS. You need to go direct to the ncnetwork.net site to sign in. It seems the Frontier website has its link to the former Verizon customers login removed. We, the Frontier CS and I, found this out together when troubleshooting the issue of me not being able to login. Had me go direct to www.ncnetwork.net and login from there and it works. He wasn't aware there where any issues with login until I contacted him. But is aware of Frontier working to remove all the Verizon branding. |
|
 | reply to JediSurfer It sounds like they are finally converting the old Verizon customers into the Frontier billing system. Had seen that First Quarter 2012 was goal for that, in the corporate communications. |
|
 | reply to JediSurfer wow! i have been having the same issues; same os and same ie stuff. i called frontier and the tech couldn't figure it out. Thanks for posting this...I'll wait til Mar 9 to see if it works on my windows 7 and ie 9. (works fine on my xp and ie). This string should be highlighted for frontier customers to see! |
|
 | And btw, i went back like you suggested to the ncnetwork.net site, and my login didn't work. |
|
 | Same here. Going direct to ncnetwork.net site gave me the same errors as before with Win7 and IE8. Will wait until March to see if they fix it. |
|
 | I was checked and was able to still login via the ncnetwork. Are you sure you was using the .net prefix? I mistakenly tried to go to ncnetwork.com and got a forbidden error warning. Otherwise I'd guess they are taking down areas in a certain time frame instead of all at once and your in one of those states/areas they have taken down already. So it's basically like back to when they merged/removed Verizon email servers into their email network. In other words we the customers have more crap to put up with until if and when Frontier makes severs it's ties with Verizon. |
|
 | Try private browsing or its equivalent in your browser. Seems to work. |
|
 | Using private browsing is confirmed as working The issue seems to only be in Win 7, I believe that it is something from a windows update that is causing it to not like the webpage but, have not confirmed it yet. |
|
 | reply to JediSurfer Same issue here, I emailed Frontier today, waiting for a answer. |
|
 | It will not be fixed, the page (ncnetwork) will cease to exist and billpay and account editing for all customers will be on frontier.com on March 1st. For the time being use private browsing. |
