 | Looking for the BEST Security Audit/Penetration Firm I am looking for recommendations on firms who specialize in security audit and penetration testing. I don't want to deal with companies who run a few off-the shelf tools that generate HTML reports.
BEST is a subjective term, so I'd like recommendations on who this forum considers the top firm who offers these services. |

 | Try contacting one of the DEFCON speaker members at »defcon.org/
These speakers talk about Pen Testing every year in Las Vegas and these are LEGAL LICENSED "hackers" who do hacking legally that most companies hire to audit their network security or how vulnerabable their network is to attacks.
Just browse through the archives which slides are included with each security consultants names and contacting info. |

| reply to AVD said by AVD:How do I get a license to legally hack? The safest way to get it is in writing You can make your own using these guidelines but I'd minimally recommend having a contract attorney look it over prior to use. »seclists.org/pen-test/2005/Jun/307 To the OP: Though I can't make a recommendation the link gives a few hints at what to expect. |

 | Snowy is correct and hit the nail on this one.
With any Pen Testing, there are risks involved. So, please consult an attorney who deals with these.
Have them sign a form before any testing. |
